Description:

As we bring this study of Daniel to a close, we will see the focus continue to move from historically fulfilled prophecy to the eschatological future of the church age. Daniel's celestial visitor will first end the discussion of what will be, and then answer some questions about how long the age to come will last, before the end. We will discuss both of the great themes of this study: the divine dominion and deliverance of God, who is revealed to be firmly in control of history regardless of the circumstances; and the faithfulness of Daniel to the very end. We will notice how close the parting words of the celestial visitor are to the latter words of Jesus when He encouraged His disciples to remain ever-ready for His return and faithfully continue the work of the Kingdom. That is what we will take with us at the close of this study-- God's absolute sovereignty in history and our Lord's command to be faithful to the very end.
