Hello World

Outreach

One of the extraordinary things about God is His immanence.  It is comprehensible that God is infinite, omnipotent, omniscient, eternal, almighty, and all the other attributes that define Him as God.  What is incomprehensible is the way He has made Himself accessible to His creation.  God is a God who loves to visit!  One of the central themes of the Bible, both Old and New Testaments, is the visitation of God.  In the Old Testament it was in the form of Theophanies and Christophanies-- bodily manifestations of God visiting His people at key times in redemptive history. God was also evident in other forms, such as the burning bush, the pillar of fire, the Shekinah in the dessert, the glory that filled the tent of meeting and the temple of Solomon.  But the greatest visitation of God of all time was of course in the person and being of our Lord Jesus Christ, who was God in human form, the Word who became flesh and "tabernacled" among us.

If God cares enough about humanity to cross space and time and take on the attributes of sinful flesh in order to pay us a visit-- then we as Christians should do the same for each other.  For that reason, visitation and outreach are important to New Hope Community Church.  Listed below are some of the ways we are reaching out to our community and the world with the good news of the Gospel and the compassion of Christ.
